City Archaeologist- Dr. Ruth Trocolli Contact Information: e-mail: [email protected] or (202)442-8836 Dr. Ruth Trocolli is the City Archaeologist for the District of Columbia. A recent winner of the Morris & Gwendolyn Cafrtiz Foundation Award, Dr. Trocolli has worked tirelessly over the last few years to identify, record, and protect the District’s archaeological resources. As city archaeologist, her duties include reviewing federal and local projects, maintaining the archaeological site files, and public outreach. She received her doctorate from the University of Florida in 2006. Dr. Trocolli’s dissertation examined the lives of Native American women chiefs among southeastern American Indian groups. |
